We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to lead a large residential care service in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established care provider known for delivering high-quality care and investing in the success of its managers.

The Role

As Care Home Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the running of the service – ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care while maintaining financial performance and compliance. Your leadership will set the tone for the home, creating a positive culture and empowering your team to thrive.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care in line with residents’ needs and care plans.
  • Leading, supporting, and developing the staff team.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and occupancy to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC standards, Health & Safety, and all relevant regulations.
  • Building positive relationships with families, staff, regulators, and the local community.
  • Promoting the home effectively through engagement and local outreach.

About You

We’re seeking a leader who can combine care expertise with strong commercial awareness. You’ll bring:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent / working towards).
  • Proven track record in care home management (residential or nursing).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience improving standards and team performance.
  • Confidence in managing budgets, occupancy, and business performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
