About the Role

Registered Manager (Domiciliary Care & Day Centre)

Location: Rotherham (Office based)
Salary: £36,000 – £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent | Full-time (37 hours per week, Mon–Fri)
Company: Pivotal People (on behalf of our client)

Introduction / About the Role

Pivotal People is recruiting on behalf of an established charity in the Rotherham area for a Registered Manager to lead their domiciliary care service alongside an on-site Day Centre.

This is a genuinely rare opportunity to join a values-led organisation with an Outstanding CQC rating, a strong reputation locally, and a team that’s been delivering person-centred support for over 30 years. You’ll be stepping into a service with real purpose — supporting carers, enabling independence, and making sure people receive safe, consistent care that feels human.

Key Responsibilities

  • CQC & Compliance: Maintain registration with the CQC and ensure services meet (and exceed) the key lines of enquiry: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led
  • Leadership & Culture: Recruit, develop and support a team of care coordinators and support workers, embedding a positive, improvement-focused culture
  • Operational Management: Oversee both domiciliary care operations and the Day Centre, including health & safety, staff spot checks, occupancy promotion and day-to-day delivery
  • Quality & Governance: Drive quality through audits, feedback, KPI tracking, safeguarding oversight and continuous improvement plans
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the senior leadership team, commissioners, health professionals, families and local forums to maintain strong relationships and outcomes
  • Performance & Contractual Delivery: Ensure safeguarding practice is robust and contractual KPIs are met, with clear reporting and accountability

Skills and Experience Required

  • Registered Manager experience within domiciliary care (minimum 3 years in a comparable role)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Adult Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and relevant legislation (including the Health & Social Care Act)
  • Confident people leader with a calm, practical approach — able to make sound decisions when things aren’t black and white
  • Good IT capability (care planning systems, compliance reporting, rostering/coordination tools)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete)
  • A collaborative, down-to-earth leadership style — someone who supports carers and teams properly, without losing standards

Package and Benefits

  • Salary: £36,000 – £41,000 per annum (DOE)
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • On-call: Flexible evening/weekend participation (with time off in lieu)
  • Holiday: Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health package and employer pension contribution
  • Development: Ongoing professional development in a supportive, inclusive charitable environment
  • Culture: Strong values, community impact, and an Outstanding-rated setting

How to Apply

If you’re a Registered Manager who leads with both heart and backbone — and you want a role where supporting carers is genuinely part of the mission — we’d love to speak with you.
