Regional Manager – Care Homes
(Regional / Area Manager – Care Homes | Operations Manager – Elderly Care)
Company: Pivotal People, recruiting on behalf of a confidential elderly care provider
Location: East Midlands (Nottinghamshire-based, regional remit)
Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + company car with home recharging capabilities + 15% quarterly bonus
Hours: Full-time, Permanent, 40hrs a week

The role
As Regional Manager, you’ll be responsible for a group of elderly care homes across the East Midlands. You’ll lead, support, and develop Home Managers to deliver outstanding care, maintain compliance, and achieve strong commercial results.
You’ll act as the vital link between senior leadership and frontline services, ensuring quality, culture and performance are aligned.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching Home Managers
- Driving CQC compliance and continuous improvement
- Supporting occupancy growth and recruitment initiatives
- Full P&L responsibility and financial performance oversight
- Creating a positive, engaged workplace culture
Who we’re looking for
An experienced multi-site leader with a passion for elderly care. You’ll be a confident communicator, able to coach, influence and motivate others, while keeping a sharp eye on operational performance and resident wellbeing.
Skills & qualifications
- Essential: 2+ years’ recent experience as a Regional / Area Manager in elderly nursing or residential care homes
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with commitment to Level 5+
- Desirable: Registered Nurse with active PIN
- Essential: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
- Essential: Strong IT skills and confident use of systems
- Desirable: 3+ years’ experience managing a group of elderly care homes
- Desirable: NVQ Level 5/7 in Leadership & Management (Health & Social Care)
- Desirable: Evidence of improving occupancy, compliance and team performance
