About the Role

Job Title: Regional Manager – Adult Specialist Care
Location: Worthing - Brighton (travel across Hampshire & West Sussex required) BN11, West Sussex
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: Circa £60,000 plus. (negotiable DOE) Sector-leading supporting package
Company: Pivotal People, in partnership with our client

About the company
A specialist care provider delivering bespoke supported living for adults with very complex needs. They focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth, with the primary aim of providing the best possible quality of life to the people they support. You’d embody their amazing core values—genuinely inspiring and enviable—which I’ll share with you after you’ve expressed interest. I genuinely believe they’re one of the stand-out employers in the care sector in the region.

About the role
You will lead a regional portfolio of residential and supported living services for adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy. You’ll own operational delivery, quality and compliance, and play a hands-on role in planning and mobilising new services. The region covers Hampshire and West Sussex and may evolve as services grow. When not on site, you’ll be primarily based at the Brighton HQ. You’ll work closely with senior leaders on service design, mobilisation, commissioner relationships, recruitment projects and cost appraisals, and you’ll hold provider registrations where required.
Career opportunities ahead: the region is scaling, so there is clear scope to broaden your remit and progress into senior leadership for someone delivering strong operational, quality and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
•    Lead, mentor and performance-manage 4–10 Registered/Service Managers.
•    Audit services; maintain regulatory compliance and CQC Good/Outstanding standards.
•    Plan, set up and manage new supported living and residential services.
•    Complete assessments, shape tailored care plans, and manage referrals and occupancy.
•    Own regional P&L and budgets; prepare costings and negotiate fee uplifts with commissioners.
•    Build productive relationships with commissioners, stakeholders and community partners.
•    Project-manage improvement and referral programmes; act as an organisational ambassador.

Skills & experience requirements
•    Proven experience setting up and managing services in health & social care.
•    Strong assessment skills and tailored care planning for Autism, LD and Epilepsy.
•    Track record of achieving/sustaining CQC Good/Outstanding.
•    P&L/budget ownership and fee negotiations.
•    Multi-site leadership: recruiting, coaching and developing managers.
•    Level 5+ Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent) and full UK driving licence.

Who we’re looking for
A hands-on regional leader who can build as well as run. Calm, values-driven and commercially sharp. You’ll bring credible commissioner relationships, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the drive to grow services while keeping people, quality and compliance front and centre. Your home location will fall ideally within the West Sussex area and be central to the region, so you are easily accessible to the Head office in the East (Brighton) and services in Hampshire in the west and everything in between.

Benefits and package
•    Base salary: c. £60,000+ (negotiable)
•    Private medical cover
•    Life insurance: 4× salary protection
•    Supportive induction: structured onboarding and guidance
•    Strong management support: you’ll never be left on your own
•    Company sick pay: post-probation
