About the Role

We’re working with a respected care provider to recruit a Home Manager for one of their well-established residential homes in Cheltenham. This is a chance to take ownership of a settled home with a good local reputation, the kind of place where culture and leadership make all the difference.

You’ll be the kind of manager who leads from the front, shapes the day-to-day atmosphere, and puts care quality, compliance and team pride at the centre of everything. You’ll have strong operational support and the backing of a values-led organisation that genuinely wants to get things right for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a care team - setting a tone of care, compassion, and high standards.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the home is compliant, well-led, and delivering person-centred care.
  • Maintain strong financial oversight of budgets and cost control.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, regulators, and the local community.
  • Take ownership of audits, action plans, and regulatory inspections, driving improvement across the board.
  • Uphold safety, safeguarding, and legal compliance as part of everyday practice.
  • Be a visible, values-driven leader, someone staff look up to and residents trust.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards).
  • Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in residential elderly care.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
  • Confident in budget management and performance reporting.
  • Skilled in coaching and developing teams - you’ll know how to build trust, morale, and accountability.
  • Calm, organised, and passionate about doing things the right way.

Benefits

  • Salary of up to £70,000 per annum for the right experienced Registered Manager.
  • Generous holiday entitlement and pension scheme
  • Supportive regional structure with scope to progress
  • A real opportunity to lead, improve, and influence
  • Values-led culture from top to bottom
