Package: £47,500 + Quarterly Bonus + Car Allowance

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Sales and Community Engagement Manager. This role is perfect for someone with an outgoing personality who thrives on building relationships and engaging with local communities. You’ll play a key role in representing care homes across the region, fostering connections with prospective residents and their families, and driving awareness to ultimately increase room occupancy.

Responsibilities

As a Sales and Community Engagement Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Community Engagement: Building strong relationships with local communities, organisations, and stakeholders to raise awareness of the care homes you represent.
  • Driving Occupancy: Proactively identifying and engaging with prospective residents and their families to promote the care homes and their services.
  • Event Coordination: Organising and attending community events, open days, and networking opportunities to showcase the homes and their offerings.
  • Relationship Building: Acting as the face of the organisation, fostering trust and rapport with local residents, families, and community groups.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with care home managers and teams to ensure a seamless experience for prospective residents.
  • Marketing Support: Partnering with the marketing team to create and deliver campaigns that resonate with the local audience.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on engagement activities and occupancy rates to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience: A background in sales, community engagement, or relationship management, ideally within the care, healthcare, or hospitality sectors.
  • Personality: An outgoing, approachable, and confident demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage with a wide range of audiences.
  • Proactivity: A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Oxfordshire areas is a plus.
  • Flexibility: A willingness to travel across the region and attend events outside of standard working hours when required.
  • Tech Savvy: Competence in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing tools.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day might include:

  • Visiting care homes to meet with managers and discuss occupancy strategies.
  • Attending a local community event to network and promote the care homes.
  • Following up with prospective residents and their families to provide information and support.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute a new campaign.
  • Reviewing occupancy data and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Building relationships with local organisations, charities, and businesses to create referral opportunities.
  • Hosting an open day at one of the care homes to showcase its facilities and services.
